WHAT LIES BENEATH THE BED – PIRATES OF THE SEA is the third of seven books in the WHAT LIES BENEATH THE BED - SERIES. Tommy and his friends return from their journey to Gibeon, only to find themselves on the beach. It’s there that Captain Nephren (Skeletal Pirates of the Nether World) encounters his nemesis; the gang. Tammy is touched by evil as she watches Captain Nephren disappear into thin air. That night, she has a nightmare about Captain Paul (Good Pirate) and the impending attack from his wicked brother, Captain Herod, and Captain Nephren.

Tammy explains the gang’s calling at Bucky’s tree fort. Tommy and his friends aren’t ready to help Captain Paul return the Red, Green and Blue Orbs back Cyrus, the King of Onibeus (Undersea Kingdom) and restore his Kingdom. Gabriel, Captain Paul’s parrot, visits the gang and reveals to them the urgency to travel to the nether world and help restore Onibeus. With promises of treasure, power and fame, how could Tommy and his friends resists?

After many visions, dreams and nightmares, the gang has a sleepover at Tammy’s house to travel through the nether world and help Captain Paul. Unfortunately, Captain Paul isn’t there to meet Tammy and her friends as they land on his abandoned ship; her worst nightmare has come true. Tammy and her friends find themselves on three major adventures lead by Gabriel: 1) Tuga’s Island (Character from Tommy’s Tales) 2) Island of Dry Bones, and 3) Nether World of Captain Nephren. All in search of the Red, Green and Blue Orbs that will restore Onibeus and bring an end to Captain Herod and Captain Nephren’s reign of terror.
